The Recipe for Making Spicy Chicken Soup

During, a cold winter night, this simple chicken soup recipe can be a filling meal. The spices will give you warmth and you’d just enjoy the chill. This is easy to cook. It will be served on your table in just 45 minutes. This is a sure way to get the family together.


2 quarts of water
8 chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
½ tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper, ground
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp dried parsley
5 cubes of chicken bouillon
1 tbsp onion powder
3 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 jar (16 oz) chunky salsa
2 cans (14.5 ounce) tomatoes, peeled and diced
1 can (14.5 ounce) whole tomatoes, peeled
1 can (10.75 ounce) condensed tomato soup
1 (8 oz) sour cream
3 tbsp chili powder
1 can (15 ounce) whole drained kernel corn
2 cans (16 ounce) undrained chili beans

Place big pot over medium heat and mix the water, pepper, salt, garlic powder, chicken, parsley, onion powder and bouillon cubes. Bring the ingredients to boil, and lower the heat and simmer for an hour until the chicken is cooked thoroughly. Take the chicken out of the mixture and reserve the broth. Shred the chicken in small pieces.

Using medium heat, cook the garlic and onion using olive oil until they turn brown, and add the salsa, whole tomatoes, diced tomatoes, chili beans, chili powder, tomato soup, corn, shredded chicken, sour cream and five cups of broth. Simmer the mixture for half an hour.

You may serve this hot soup with grated cheese and topped with tortilla chips. This will give a unique flavor. The grated cheese can be used in making the easy chicken salad recipe as well. Chicken is really good for body building with the abundance of proteins that it has. Plus the fact that it also can be roasted or grilled makes it easy to cook and serve.
