The push to a new type of lawn is on and the number of synthetic lawns appears to be growing, so to speak. There are quite a number of reasons for the growing popularity but one of the increasing reasons that you hear cited is the fact that it is better for the environment to use a synthetic grass.
This may seem a little counter intuitive given that a non-natural substance is used in place of real grass and it’s better for the environment. The thing about that is that you don’t have to water an artificial grass, you don’t have to mow it and cut grass is a big producer of gases like methane as it breaks down.
Add to all of those reasons the fact that synthetic lawns stay green no matter how poor the conditions are and you’ve got a viable alternative to the real stuff.
