Running a small business has taught me to always look for savings and better deals.  This not only helps increase my bottom line, but also have a little extra cash for emergencies or new opportunities.  One of the biggest areas in which I was able to save, was printer ink.  It seems that almost every day I am bombarded with emails or phone calls from companies that want our ink buys, and I’ve learned to turn these interruptions into profits.  First, I let our secretary know what kind of ink cartridges we buy, and in what quantity.  Each time a sales person calls she gives them the details and asks for a quote.  If they beat our current prince, we buy from them.  If not, well then better luck next time.  Using this approach we have decreased our printer ink costs each of the last twelve months!
