The current standard of the economy world wide is making it extremely hard on many people to even get approved for a low interest student credit card. It seems as though every year the stipulations to get approved for a card keep changing. The minimum score that you need to have continues to keep raising. The score raising means that one of two things can happen to cause you to get turned down for a card. One you do not have enough credit to get the card or your score does not meet the minimum requirements.
Before you can be approved for the card the sad thing is you still have to go through the elongated process of filling out an application and waiting later to find out if it was approved or not.
