The basic necessities for any hummus are at least 1 can of chick peas and around 5 tablespoons of lemon juice. You can use more less of the lemon juice depending on your taste and you can also substitute the chick peas with chick peas syrup.
There are even dried powder mixes that you can try in place of the chick peas.

Other than that you will need 1 ½ tbsp tahini, 2 cloves of garlic and ½ tsp of salt and 2 tbsp of olive oil.

Put all these things into the food processor or blender and mix for around 3 to 5 minutes or until you get a smooth and paste like consistency. If it is too thick add a little more olive oil or lemon juice, just ensure you taste it before adding either of these to determine which to add as you don’t want it to be tangy or oily.

once you get the desired consistency you will be done preparing your hummus. You can now serve this with a well in the center of the bowl where you will place some parsley as a garnish. We all want to eat pretty food right?

Remember there are possibly hundreds of different black bean recipes that you can try so you don’t have to stick with this one only. If you like spicy you can find one of those which will call for cayenne and red chili pepper.
