Guide to Propane Heaters

There are several different types of propane heaters out there and it’s difficult sometimes to know what the differences are exactly. Let’s take a look at the important differences. The first type of propane heater is called a convection heater. These heaters use the conductive properties of air to heat a room. In other words, they heat the air in the room, and the air begins to circulate as it gets warm, thus spreading the warmth to all the corners of the room. The second type of propane heater is called a radiant heater. These heaters emit infrared waves that travel through the air. When the waves hit a solid object they are converted into heat. Radiant heaters do not heat the air the way that convection heaters do.
