As a single mom of two girls I was always looking for inexpensive ways to entertain my daughters . I bought a new refrigerator one day and when it arrived, it was in a huge box. I asked the driver if we could keep the box and he said we could. We cut a door in one side and windows in two other sides. We got out the paints and the crayons and my girls spent hours decorating both the inside and outside of the play house. Each day we would add more. We taped up curtains. We used smaller boxes for tables and chairs. My girls had so much fun with their playhouse, we were always looking for neighbors who were throwing appliance boxes away so we could recycle them into my girls playhouses!
