My husband is a pilot, and his job takes him away from home for sometimes weeks on end. It can be really difficult at times, but the pays good, and from everything I see on the television, now is not the time to be quitting any job that you are lucky enough to have. It’s an interesting job for him, he gets to travel all over the world and see exotic places. I personally have always been a bit of a homebody, and I’m happy for him to itch his feet in this way if it means I don’t have to become a globetrotter.
Plus, he brings me home trophies of the places he’s been, like a hunter bringing home the bacon. Last week, he had a layover in France and bought home some stunning country shower curtains. He hasn’t seen them up yet, but he’s going to be pleasantly surprised when he comes home, they look fantastic in our bathroom.
