The best boys toys include things that have been around for years, like LEGO, as well as newer toys on the market, like Bakugan. Now, everyone has heard of LEGO, but not everyone knows Bakugan. Well, most young boys do but perhaps the parents are a bit slow to catch up. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a TV cartoon show that promotes these toys. To win a game, a player must win three gate cards. These are metallic cards that players attempt to roll their Bakugan warriors on to. Standard Bakugan characters look like plastic marbles. But when they land on a metal surface they magnetically pop open into attack formation. They are kind of like mini Transformers without the need to transform them yourself. They are very popular with young kids, especially boys, at present.
If your kids are already playing this game then you may well know how it works. They do not need all that many pieces to play so it is quite economical to get started. But beware, there are loads of characters to collect. So if your son really gets into the game, it could get expensive!
There are additional pieces that can be used in the game. For example if you got your son some cheap Bakugan traps he would be able to become a more powerful warrior. There are many different Bakugan characters sold separately and, individually are reasonably priced. They make good stocking filler type gifts.
In fact, your son does not even need to play the Bakugan game to get pleasure out of these toys. Particularly the roller type Bakugan. They are fun rolling about the place and seeing if you can make then hit a metal surface so that they pop open.
