Trying to find a property for sale in France can be a real pain. I live in the Languedoc Roussillon region and have just been through the process so I know what I’m talking about. Firstly many of the estate agents are rubbish at getting in touch, you would have thought they don’t want to sell any property. You can email them or call and leave a message and days will go by before you hear from them. Secondly, time and again, they won’t tell you exactly where the property is so you can just drive by or discount it from your list because you don’t like the area. You always have to meet up with them so they can drive you to the location like it’s some big mystery. No wonder everybody hates estate agents!
