Before you blindly put chemicals on your skin you may want to know that many acne treatments use benzoyl peroxide as their primary active ingredient. It has long been suspected by the FDA that benzoyl peroxide on the skin mixed with sun can cause skin tumors. That is a serious step in the wrong direction from acne. If you choose to use this chemical be careful to avoid sunlight for a couple of days after use and wash you skin off completely.
