The acai berry is America’s favorite new craze. Products promising weight loss, increased sexual function, and improved general health are everywhere. So, what’s the deal? Is the acai berry a new found panacea? It seems like a lot of pressure to put on a tiny berry. Research has shown that the acai berry does, in fact, have antioxidant properties. Although, the heavy hitters are still red wine, tea, and pomegranate juice; you don’t have to send this little guy into exile. It might not cure anything, but it certainly won’t hurt you either. Acai research has proven it contains fiber, iron, vitamin A, and calcium. Remember, inviting more fresh foods into our diets is never a bad idea. So, get some fresh acai berry juice and drink it freely.
